Class 4A No. 12 Liberty High rallied for a 26-28, 25-17, 23-25, 25-17, 15-9 win over No. 14 Clear Creek Amana in a non-conference showdown in Tiffin.
LeeAnn Potter had a match-high 22 kills and added 23 digs as Liberty High improved to 12-9 with its second win in as many years over the Clippers.
Sydney Woods added 14 kills, 29 digs and three aces for Liberty High while Olivia Slattery added 11 kills and Lauren Roman had 10 kills and three blocks.
Addie Schmierer had a team-high 32 digs and three aces while Haley Hested had 56 assists and 16 digs for the Lightning.
Calia Clubb had 14 kills and Hailey Pollock had 12 kills as Clear Creek Amana dropped to 14-8 on the season.
Jordan Neely led Clear Creek Amana with 33 digs while Lauren Riggle had 24 digs and Cheyaenne Bunch had 39 assists for the Clippers.
No. 13 Wilton Downs Regina
Class 2A No. 13 Wilton downed Regina 25-19, 25-18, 19-25, 25-18 in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup on Thursday in Iowa City.
Wilton improved to 22-3 on the season and 4-2 in RVC South play while Regina dropped to 8-16 and 1-5 in RVC south contests.
Tipton Too Much for West Branch
Class 2A second-ranked Tipton defeated West Branch 25-9, 25-18, 20-25, 25-19 in a River Valley Conference South Division match on Thursday in West Branch.
The Bears dropped to 13-7 on the season and 2-4 in RVC South Division play with the loss while Tipton improved to 23-2 and 6-0 in RVC South action.
