Alex Wiese and Kennedy Wallace have won nearly 50 games as high school teammates the past two seasons.
The duo has one more year to add to their prep win total before becoming college teammates.
Wiese joined Wallace as a Truman State commit when she gave a verbal pledge to the Bulldogs on Friday on Twitter.
“I am beyond excited to announce that I have committed to Truman State University to further my academic and basketball career,” Wiese wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to all of my coaches and teammates for helping me along the way and to my parents for always supporting me.”
A 5-foot-11 forward Wiese is coming off a junior season in which she earned first-team all-state but missed the state tournament with a torn ACL.
Wiese averaged a double-double as a junior, with 15.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game while helping Regina to a 21-5 record.
As a junior Wiese was a third-team all-state pick after averaging 15.7 points per game to go with 9.4 rebounds as Regina went 26-1 and reached the Class 2A state tournament.
A career 1,000-point scorer, Wiese has averaged a double-double in her prep career averaging 15.5 points and 10.6 rebounds in 66 career games.
Wiese joins Wallace as a Truman State recruit.
Wallace pledged to the Division II program in Kirksville, Missouri last season.
Truman State is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and finished 15-11 last season.
