Regina dropped a non-conference contest to Davenport West 13-5 on Tuesday at Mount Mercy in Cedar Rapids.

Class 2A third-ranked Regina dropped to 17-7 on the season with the loss while Davenport West improved to 13-8 with its third consecutive win.

Regina took a 4-3 lead with four runs in the third inning but the Falcons scored 10 runs over the final four innings highlighted by a four-run fifth that broke the game open.

Nick Brandt took the loss for Regina allowing nine runs on 11 hits in five innings.

Ryan Schott had a hot and scored two runs while Trent Hoogerwerf went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI for the Regals.

Mitch Gahan, Ryne Schooley, Brandt and Joey Molony each added hits for Regina and Schooley scored a run.
