The Regina win streak has hit double figures.
Class 2A second-ranked Regina pushed its win streak to 10 with a sweep of Tipton in a River Valley Conference South Division doubleheader on Tuesday in Iowa City.
Regina won the opener 15-0 in four innings and added an 8-0 win in the nightcap to improve to 14-2 on the season and 9-0 in RVC play.
Tipton dropped to 5-6 with its sixth consecutive loss and is 4-4 in RVC contests.
Regina exploded for six first-inning runs in the opener and added eight in the second inning to build an insurmountable lead.
Ryne Schooley and Blake Berns each had three hits and drove in three runs for Regina in the opener while Evan Suchomel was 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Jayden Kies and Mitch Gahan had hits and drove in two runs while Ryan Schott had two hits and scored two runs.
Alex Meister tossed a four-inning three-hitter striking out one in the win.
In the nightcap Regina scored four runs in second inning to break the game open.
Berns was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI to lead Regina while Schooley had two hits including a double and scored three runs.
Masen Miller went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Trent Hoogerwerf drove in a pair of runs for Regina.
Evan Suchomel tossed six shutout innings allowing four hits and a walk while striking out three to earn the win.
