The West High winning streak is a win away from double digits.
Class 3A seventh-ranked West High pushed its winning streak to nine with a 2-0 win over No. 8 Cedar Rapids Washington on Tuesday at Barker Field in Iowa City.
Brody Schilling and Gada Ambo scored second-half goals as West High improved to 14-3 on the season and 11-1 in Mississippi Valley Conference play.
Cedar Rapids Washington had a three-match winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 12-4 on the season and 9-3 in MVC play.
West High will conclude the regular season on Thursday at home against Waterloo West.
City High Gets Road Win at Cedar Falls
John Clark scored a pair of goals and Cameron Chavez added one as Class 3A third-ranked City High rolled to a 3-0 win at No. 15 Cedar Falls on Tuesday in Cedar Falls.
City High improved to 13-4 on the season and 9-3 in MVC play with the win while Cedar Falls dropped to 10-7 and 8-5 in MVC play.
Regina Rallies Past North Scott
Top-ranked Regina scored four second-half goals to rally from a 2-0 halftime deficit in a 4-3 win over North Scott on Tuesday at Regal Field in Iowa City.
Nick Pechous and Alec Wick each scored a pair of goals in the second half as Regina improved to 12-3 on the season with its third consecutive win.
Wick scored the go-ahead goal in the 76th minute and Regina held on for the win.
Robert Beck and Nicholas Yowell each had assists for the Regals.
North Scott dropped to 6-10 with its fifth consecutive loss.
