Thanks to a non-conference makeup date with Bettendorf on Thursday the West High girls tennis team still have more hurdle to clear on its way to an unbeaten regular season.

West High locked up a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division title and a perfect conference record on Tuesday with an 8-1 win over Dubuque Senior.

The Women of Troy won all six singles matches on Tuesday while improving to 14-0 on the season and 13-0 in MVC play.

Dubuque Senior dropped to 2-11 with the loss.

City High Downs Cedar Rapids Prairie

City High closed the regular season with back-to-back wins after picking up a 6-3 win over Cedar Rapids Prairie on Tuesday in Cedar Rapids.

The Little Hawks improved to 8-6 with the win and 8-5 in Mississippi Valley Conference play while Cedar Rapids Prairie dropped to 2-11 with the loss.

West High won five singles matches and Bihotza James and Mary Liebig teamed up for a 10-6 win over Megan Grimm and Beth Uthoff at number two doubles.
