The goal for every athlete is to be at your best when it matters most.

Regina sophomore Ellie VanLandschoot was just that on Tuesday at the River Valley Conference golf meet.

VanLandschoot fired a season-best 18-hole score of 95 and earned elite all-conference honors with a third-place individual finish at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside.

The 95 by VanLandschoot was one stroke off of Monticello senior Lauren Ries and Mid-Prairie senior Paige Slabaugh who each shot a 94 to finish first and second respectively.

Mid-Prairie won the team title with a 410, six shots better than runner-up Wilton while West Branch was third with a 422.

Aleah Rocha shot a 99 to place fifth and earn elite all-conference honors to lead West Branch as the Bears edged Camanche by two strokes for a top three finish.

Regina finished seventh as a team with a 436.

Lexi Clemens shot a 102 for West Branch to place eighth and earn all-conference honors.
