West High won its second match in as many days on Tuesday, defeating Linn-Mar 8-1 in a Mississippi Valley Conference contest at West High.

The Women of Troy improved to 8-0 on the season and 7-0 in MVC play while Linn-Mar dropped to 2-5.

Emma Koch, Audrey Koch, Jessica Moonjely, Vivian Mitchell and Caroline Chandler all earned wins in singles play for West High.

City High Edged by CR Xavier

Cedar Rapids Xavier won four singles matches and added a victory at number three doubles to secure a 5-4 win over City High in a Mississippi Valley Conference matchup in Iowa City on Tuesday.

Bihotza James and Kelsey Law each won singles matches for City High while Law and Caroline Carter and James and Mary Liebig teamed up for wins in doubles play.

City High dropped to 3-4 on the season while Cedar Rapids Xavier improved to 8-1 with its eighth consecutive win.
