Bridges Leads West Branch to Third-Place Finish at West Liberty Invite

Ellie Kouba shot a 47 to earn medalist honors while lifting West High to a win over City High in a Mississippi Valley Conference dual meet between cross-town rivals at Pleasant Valley Golf Course.
Kouba finished four strokes in front of runner-up medalist Kaylee Paulsen of City High who shot a 51 to help West High shoot a 211.
Riley Fay shot a 53 and Rylee Goodfellow a 55 for West High.
Alexa Fredericks fired a 54 and Emily Knoche a 57 for City High as the Little Hawks carded a 244 as a team.

Aleah Rocha shot a 46 to earn medalist honors as West Branch shot a 202 to edge Wilton by four strokes in a River Valley Conference dual at Wahkonsa Country Club in Wilton.
Annika Olson shot a 51, Lexi Clemens a 52 and Savannah Sexton and Lauren Nalan each carded a 53 for the Bears.

Bridges Runner-up at West Liberty Invite
West Branch junior Ted Bridges fired a one-under-par 71 on his way to a runner-up finish at the West Liberty Invitational at the West Liberty Country Club in Tuesday.
Bridges finished one shot back of individual champion Kaleb Hagge of Winfield-Mount Union and helped West Branch to a third-place team finish at the 11-team meet.
Cade Aspelmeier shot an 81 as West Branch finished with a 323 to place third.
Central DeWitt shot a 313 to win the team title by seven strokes over Winfield-Mount Union.
Sophomore Brandon McCarty fired a 34 on the back nine and finished with a
74 to place four to pace Clear Creek Amana.The Clippers finished eighth with a 363 while Regina was ninth with a 364.
Sophomore Mark Schomer shot an 84 to lead Regina.
