Regina scored a pair of first-half goals and held on for a 2-1 win over Waterloo Columbus in a top-five matchup on Tuesday in Iowa City.

Class 1A third-ranked Regina improved to 2-0 with the win while No. 5 Waterloo Columbus dropped to 2-1.

Greyson Dumont and Lauren Gaarde each scored goals in the first half as Regina built a 2-0 halftime lead.

Ana Ortiz had a goal in the second half for Waterloo Columbus.

City High Runs Win Streak to Four  

Class 3A No. 13 City High stretched its winning streak to four with a 1-0 win over Cedar Rapids Washington on Tuesday in Iowa City.

Emma Seydel scored the only goal of the match off a Sydney DePrenger assist as City High improved to 4-1 on the season and 3-0 in Mississippi Valley Conference play with its fourth consecutive win.

Junior Naomi Meurice had three saves and notched her third consecutive shutout in goal.

Cedar Rapids Washington dropped to 0-3 on the season and 0-3 in MVC play.

CCA Records Second Straight Win

After back-to-back losses to open the season Clear Creek Amana has rattled off consecutive conference wins.

The Clippers even their season record at 2-2 with a 5-1 win over Benton Community in a WAMAC West Division Tilt in Van Horne on Tuesday.

Benton Community dropped to 1-2 with the loss.
