Clear Creek Amana snapped a two-match losing skid to open the season with a 1-0 penalty kick win at South Tama in a WAMAC West Division contest on Thursday.

The Clippers improved to 1-2 on the season while South Tama dropped to 1-2.

After 100 scoreless minutes Blake Malli came up with a pair of saves in the shootout.

Trevor King, Mitch Evans, Christian Romero and JJ Denny converted penalty kicks to give the Clippers the win.
