Ted Bridges tied for medalist honors with a 41 and Trevor Thein finished one stroke back as West Branch defeated Mid-Prairie 191-173 in a River Valley Conference dual meet at Cedars Edge Golf Course in West Branch.

Bridges shared medalist honors with Noah Schlabaugh who paced Mid-Prairie with a 41.

All six West Branch golfers shot under 47 as Brady Lukavsky, Evan O’Neil and Matt Whaley each carded a 45.

Mid-Prairie Edges West Branch in RVC Dual

Mid-Prairie edged West Branch by six strokes in a season-opening River Valley Conference dual meet on Monday at the Kalona Golf Course.

Paige Slabaugh shot a 46 to earn medalist honors for Mid-Prairie while West Branch senior Aleah Rocha was the runner-up with a 48.

Maddi Luneckas shot a 52 and Drew Perkins shot a 53 for West Branch.
