Boys Basketball Roundup: Late Rally Stops City High at Dubuque Wahlert

Dubuque Wahlert closed the game on an 11-1 run to rally for a 65-59 win over City High in a Mississippi Valley Conference contest on Friday in Dubuque.
City High led 32-30 at the half and held a 58-54 lead in the final minutes before Dubuque Wahlert (7-12, 3-11 MVC) mounted a late rally that snapped the Golden Eagles’ five-game losing skid.
Ry Threlkeld-Weigand scored a game-high 19 points and Antonio Turner added 18 as City High dropped to 5-14 on the season and 3-11 in MVC play.
Keshawn Christian added 12 points for City High which closes regular season play with back-to-back road games next week at Linn-Mar and Cedar Rapids Kennedy.
Peter Timmerman led Dubuque Wahlert with 19 points while Matt Bandy had 13, Jack Jaeger 12 and Craig Collins 11.
