Boys Basketball Roundup: Moore Pours in School-record 41 Points as CCA Holds Off Williamsburg

Darius Moore exploded for a career-high 34 points in a win over Williamsburg last month in Tiffin.
That was just the opening act for Moore who turned in an impressive encore performance against the Raiders on Tuesday.
Moore poured in a school-record 41 points as Clear Creek Amana held off Williamsburg 73-70 for its fourth win in the past five games.
Clear Creek Amana improved to 6-10 on the season and evened its WAMAC West Division record to 6-6 while Williamsburg dropped to 7-9 and 3-8 in WAMAC West play with its third consecutive loss.
Moore added seven rebounds to go with his 41 points which broke the previous school record of 39 set by Clay Miller against Vinton-Shellsburg in 2011.
Jordan Wolfe added 11 points and six rebounds for the Clippers and Tyler Schrepfer and Cam Armstrong each had nine points.

Liberty Snaps Skid With Road Win
Iziah Poulsen scored a career-high 33 points as Liberty High snapped a six-game losing skid with a 62-54 win at Washington on Tuesday.
Bowen Gryp had nine points and Ethan O’Donnell added eight as Liberty High improved to 6-12 on the season.
Poulsen had 17 of his game-high 33 in the first half as the Lightning built a 38-30 halftime lead.
The 5-foot-10 junior then score 16 of Liberty High’s 24 second-half points to help the secure the first win since January 6.
Luke Turner had 12 points to lead Washington (5-11).

Slow Start Stops Solon at West Delaware
Solon fell into a 13-4 first-quarter deficit and could never dig itself out in a 51-37 loss to West Delaware on Tuesday in Manchester.
The Spartans had a two-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 11-7 on the season and 7-5 in WAMAC East play with the loss.
A.J. Coons had a game-high 22 points for Solon which trailed 24-15 at the half.
Ben Krutzfeldt had seven and Cam Miller six points for the Spartans
Derek Krogmann scored a game-high 21 points for West Delaware which improved to 13-5 on the season and 9-3 in WAMAC East play.

West High Bounces Back
Class 4A top-ranked West High bounced back from an out-of-state loss to Bishop Miege (Kansas) on Saturday with an impressive conference win on Tuesday.
West High outscored Cedar Rapids Kennedy 21-9 in the second quarter to break open a one-point game and cruised to a 72-35 win over the Cougars in Iowa City.
The Trojans improved to 13-2 on the season and 10-1 in MVC play while Cedar Rapids Kennedy dropped to 7-9.
