A few days without a game didn’t do much to cool off red-hot West Branch.
In its first game since an upset of then tenth-ranked Bellevue last Friday, West Branch ran its winning streak to four with a 60-41 non-conference win at Belle Plaine on Thursday.
Tatum Koenig scored 25 points and added five steals and three assists as West Branch won for the ninth time in its last 10 games to improve to 12-5 on the season.
Sasha Koenig added nine points, four assists and three steals and Bridget Buol had seven points for the Bears.
Abbey Fryauf had four points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Belle Plaine dropped to 12-6 with its second straight loss.

West Branch Holds Off Belle Plaine
West Branch used a 23-point second quarter to build a seven-point halftime lead and held on for a 62-59 win at Belle Plaine in a non-conference contest on Thursday.
The Bears improved to 9-7 on the season with their fourth win in five games while Belle Plaine dropped to 10-7.
