Girls Basketball Roundup: Crompton Scores Season-high 23 as Regina Wins at Mid-Prairie

It hasn’t taken long for Mary Crompton to work her way into midseason form.
Crompton poured in a game-high 23 points on Tuesday to help Class 2A eighth-ranked Regina complete the season sweep of Mid-Prairie with a 71-60 win over the Golden Hawks in Wellman.
The 23-points were a season-high for Crompton who missed the first nine games of the season with a knee injury.
Regina won its fourth straight game with Crompton in the lineup on Tuesday, racing to a 44-27 halftime lead.
The Regals closed the first quarter with a 10-2 run to take a 21-13 lead they would never give up.
Alex Wiese added 19 points for Regina which improved to 10-3 on the season and 9-2 in RVC play.
Addie Rath had 17 points to lead four Mid-Prairie players in double figures as the Golden Hawks dropped to 9-5 and 8-5 in RVC contests with their third straight loss.

West Branch Completes Season Sweep of Tipton
Tatum Koenig led four players in double figures as West Branch completed the season sweep of Cedar County rival Tipton with a 60-41 win over the Tigers on Tuesday.
Koenig had a game-high 21 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals as West Branch improved to 10-5 on the season and 9-5 in RVC play with its seventh win in eight games.
Sasha Koenig added 17 points, four assists and two steals and Taya Young had 11 points, four steals and three rebounds.
Taylor Thein went 7-of-8 at the free throw line and chipped in with 11 points.
Tipton dropped to 5-9 on the season and 4-9 in RVC play.
