The holiday break started a little late for Solon but the Spartans bring momentum into 2018.

Solon capped its December schedule with its second straight win knocking off Keokuk 55-37 in a non-conference contest at Keokuk on Saturday.

AJ Coons scored a game-high 18 points as Solon improved to 6-2 with the win.

Ben Krutzfeldt had 13 points and Luke Schaeckenbach added seven for Solon.

Dre Moody had a team-high 15 points for Keokuk which dropped to 1-6 with its fifth straight loss.
