Liberty High will head into the holidays on a high note.

The Lightning pushed their winning streak to four straight with a 36-35 win over Keokuk (4-4) on Friday in their final game before the holiday break.

Sam McPherson scored 13 points and Cora Saunders added 10 points as Liberty High improved to 5-5 on the season.

Liberty High outscored Keokuk 12-8 in the fourth quarter to overcome a 27-24 deficit.

Since a 1-5 start to the season Liberty High has rattled off consecutive wins over Williamsburg, Fort Madison, Northeast and Keokuk.
