Boys Basketball Roundup: Liberty High Has 2-Game Win Streak Snapped at Northeast

Liberty High had a two-game winning streak come to an end on Monday with a 78-44 loss to Northeast in Goose Lake.
Dawson Stoll had a game-high 26 points and Lucas Empen added 21 for Northeast as the Rebels improved to 9-0 on the season.
Andre Brandon had 10 points and Sam Funke added nine for Liberty High which dropped to 3-4 with the loss.
Grayson Tyler chipped in with seven points for Liberty High.

West Branch Falls in Shootout at Camanche
West Branch reached the 70-point mark for the first time in a conference game this season on Monday but it wasn’t quite enough to earn a win.
High-scoring Camanche survived a 38-point outburst by West Branch junior Beau Cornwell and edged the Bears 79-71 in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Camanche.
The loss dropped West Branch to 3-5 on the season and 2-5 in RVC play while Camanche improved to 5-3 and 5-2 in RVC action.
The 38 points are a season-high for Cornwell who is now averaging 23.9 per game.
