Boys Basketball Roundup: Liberty High Pulls Away After Half for Second Straight Win

Liberty High broke opening a one-point halftime game to secure its second straight win, knocking off Tipton 60-49 on Saturday in Tipton.
Andre Brandon led four players in double figures as Liberty High improved to 3-3 on the season.
Liberty High trailed 29-28 at halftime but pulled away in the second half as freshman guard Bo Gryp scored all 11 of his points after halftime.
Ethan O’Donnell had eight of his 11 points in the second half while Sam Funke finished with 13 points for the Lightning.
Logan Hoffman had a game-high 18 points for Tipton (7-2) which had a six-game winning streak snapped with the loss.

After back-to-back losses to open the week City High got back in the win column on Saturday.
Antonio Turner scored a game-high 22 points as City High snapped a two-game losing skid with an 81-50 win over Burlington (0-6) in a non-conference contest in Burlington.
Carter Westlake had 16 points and Jeremy Kambomba had 12 as City High improved to 2-3 on the season.
Ry Threlkeld-Wiegand had eight points and DeAngelo McNeil added seven points for the Little Hawks.

West Branch snapped a two-game losing skid with a 68-34 win over West Liberty in a River Valley Conference South Division contest on Saturday in West Liberty.
Beau Cornwell had 18 points, eight rebounds and three steals as West Branch improved to 3-4 on the season and 2-4 in RVC play.
West Branch led 14-4 after the first quarter and 29-11 at the half while snapping a four-game RVC losing streak.
Ben Thompson added 10 points and Ted Bridges had nine while Tanner Lukavsky added six points and seven rebounds.
