Darius Moore poured in a career-high 32 points but it wasn’t enough as Clear Creek Amana fell to Benton Community 86-76 on Tuesday in a WAMAC West contest in Van Horne.

Clear Creek Amana dropped to 0-3 while Benton Community improved to 3-1 on the season with its second straight win.

Nolan Schwarting scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Jordan Wolfe added nine points for the Clippers.

Liberty High Falls at Mount Pleasant

Liberty High dropped its second straight game on Tuesday falling to Mount Pleasant 63-37 in Mount Pleasant.

The Lightning dropped to 1-2 on the season with its loss to the Panthers, a Class 3A state qualifier last season.

Andre Brandon had a team-high 16 points while Moses Bolar added 12 points for Liberty High.

Jordan Magnani had a game-high 26 points and Brady Sartorius added 17 for Mount Pleasant (2-1).

Tipton Holds Off West Branch

Logan Hoffman scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Tipton held off West Branch 59-57 in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in West Branch.

The Bears let a 28-26 halftime lead slip away while dropping to 1-2 on the season and 1-2 in RVC play with its second straight loss while Tipton improved to 2-1.

Beau Cornwell and Ben Thompson each had 19 points to lead West Branch while Tanner Lukavsky added 10 points.

Cornwell had five rebounds and three steals while Thompson and Schiele each had four rebounds.
