Regina’s Evans Named To RVC Elite Volleyball Team

With 28 wins and the third state tournament trip in program history this season will be go down as one of the most successful in the history of Regina volleyball.
On Monday the Regals began being rewarded for their strong season.
Regina had four players earn all-conference honors when the River Valley Conference released its postseason honors on Monday.
Junior Jaedynn Evans was named to the RVC elite team while Alex Wiese and Emily Bonnett were selected to the South Division team and Katrina Chambliss was an honorable mention pick.
Evans was selected to the 12-member elite team made up of the top players from both the North and South Divisions.
The 5-foot-9 junior had 275 kills and 369 digs this season and added 31 ace serves and 29 blocks.
Wiese led Regina with 365 kills and was second on the team with 395 digs on her way to being named to the South Division team.
The 6-foot-1 junior also had 36 blocks and 35 ace serves.
A senior setter, Bonnett was also a South Division team selection after leading Regina with 815 assists while adding 280 digs and 36 aces.
Chambliss earned honorable mention honors after ranking third on the team with 134 kills and leading the Regals with 41 ace serves.
The senior also had 289 digs.
West Branch had a pair of players earn postseason honors as junior Abbey Fryauf was named to the South Division team and senior Sophie Nopooulos was an honorable mention selection.
The 6-foot-1 Fryauf led West Branch with 289 kills and added 45 blocks on her way to being named to the South Division team.
Nopolous had 294 assists, 96 kills, 157 digs and 25 ace serves this season.
