Solon’s Conway Finishes 22nd In State Meet Debut

FORT DODGE – Solon freshman Kiersten Conway capped an impressive debut season with a strong state meet performance.
Conway placed 22nd at the Class 3A state meet on Saturday at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
An individual qualifier, Conway finished in 19:33.9 in her first career appearance at the state meet.
Conway was one second away from finishing in the top 20.
Center Point-Urbana sophomore Adrianna Katcher won her second straight Class 3A individual title in a time of 18:23.5.
Dubuque Wahlert had three runners finish in the top ten on its way to the team title with 72 points.
