Regina Rolls Past Louisa-Muscatine in Final Regular Season Tuneup

In its final tune up before the postseason Regina had its offense clicking on all cylinders.
Regina rolled up a season-high 610 yards of offense and had seven different players score a touchdown in a 55-34 win over Louisa-Muscatine in the regular season finale for both teams in Letts.
Class 1A fourth-ranked Regina improved to 7-2 with its seventh straight win in District 4 play while Louisa-Muscatine finished the season 3-6.
Senior quarterback Michael Conlon passed for 156 yards and two touchdowns, ran for a 40-yard touchdown and caught a 61-yard touchdown all in the first half as Regina built a 41-8 halftime lead.
Jake Phillips rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown and passed for 68 yards and a touchdown while Isaac Vollstedt ran for a touchdown in the win.
Regina raced to a 34-0 lead after the opening quarter as Conlon scored on a 40-yard run, Phillips had a 19-yard touchdown run and threw a 61-yard scoring strike to Conlon.
Vollstedt added a 15-yard touchdown run and Conlon hit Nick Milder with a 12-yard touchdown pass that made it 34-0 Regina.
A 65-yard touchdown pass from Conlon to Scott Arendt put Regina up 41-8 at the half.
Conlon finished 12-of-13 passing while freshman Ashton Cook completed 10-of-19 passes for 190 yards including a 6-yard touchdown to Bryce Barnett.
Parker Eden returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown in the second half and finished with three catches for 107 yards.
Arendt had three receptions for 83 yards and Barnett finished with three grabs for 39 yards.
Regina had more than 500 yards of offense for the fourth time during its current seven-game winning streak and has scored at least 42 points in each of its last seven games.
Milder and Joseph Hein each had four tackles and a sack to lead Regina on defense while Kieler Brown and Jacob Clark each recovered a fumble.
The Regals will host Pleasantville (7-2) in the opening round of the Class 1A playoffs on Friday at 7 p.m.
