City High Falls to Muscatine 21-16

Jackson Foulk ran for three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with 3:44 left to lift Muscatine to a 21-16 win over City High at a rain-soaked Muscatine Community Stadium on Friday.
Foulk scored on touchdown runs of 5, 2 and 17 yards as Muscatine improved to 2-5 on the season and 2-1 in Class 4A District 8 play while snapping a two-game losing skid against the Little Hawks.
City High dropped to 2-5 on the season and 1-2 in district play with its second consecutive loss.
Muscatine led 13-0 at halftime but City High came roaring back.
The Little Hawks cut the lead to 13-8 on a Bryce Hunger 1-yard touchdown plunge following a blocked punt.
City High took its first lead of the game at 16-13 when Hunger hit Malik Kimber with a 27-yard touchdown pass with 4:49 left.
Muscatine answered with a game-winning drive, capped by Foulk’s 17-yard touchdown run.
City High was held to season-lows 34 rushing yards and 145 total yards in the rainy conditions.
Hunger finished 12-of-25 passing for 111 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for a team-high 17 yards and a score.
Zach Jones had five receptions for 64 yards and Kimber caught five passes for 43 yards.
City High returns to action next week, travelling to fourth-ranked Bettendorf (6-1).
