West High junior Kyle Spence fired a 77 on Monday at the final Mississippi Valley Conference divisional meet at Jones Golf Course in Cedar Rapids to finish 10th in the conference standings and second-team all-conference honors with a three-round score of 239.

The 77 on Monday was the lowest round in any of the three MVC events for Spence who earned second-team all-division honors with his 10th place finish.

Spence helped West High shoot a 339 as a team on Monday, its lowest team total in the three MVC events.

Ryan Cooper shot an 84 on Monday while Zach Starman and Braden Houston each fired an 89.

Starman earned honorable mention all-division honors finishing with a three-round score of 260.

Linn-Mar shot a 304 on Monday to win the team title with a three-round score of 907, six strokes better than runner-up Cedar Rapids Xavier.

Brad Karpick of Xavier shot an even-par 70 on Monday to lock up the individual title by seven strokes over Linn-Mar’s Drew Brandel.

MVC Valley Divisional

City High shot a 350 on Monday in the final Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Divisional meet at the Meadows Golf Club in Dubuque to finish seventh in the divisional standings with three-round score of 1,058.

Cedar Falls shot a low round of 310 on Monday to secure the Valley Divisional title with a three-round total of 914, 23 strokes in front of runner-up Cedar Rapids Washington.

Cedar Rapids Washington junior Connor Neighbors was one of three players to card a two-over-par 74 on Monday on his way to winning the divisional title and player of the year honors with a three-round total of 214.

Ben Bermel and Trevor Heinen each shot a 74 on Monday and finished with three-round scores of 214.

City High senior Lucas Ribble shot a team-best 86 on Monday while junior Campbell Johnson fired an 87 and Will McIntire shot an 88.

Johnson led City High with a three round score of 258 while McIntire carded a 268, Winston Lui a 279 and Mason Shawver a 284.
