Another race, another win for West High junior Kolby Greiner and this one came in record time.

Greiner won the Pleasant Valley Spartan Cross Country Challenge at Crow Creek on Saturday in a course record time of 15:45.

The winning time for Greiner was 23 seconds faster than runner-up Max Manley of Edina and helped West High to a sixth-place finish with 175 points.

City High had three runners place in the top 30, led by Quenton Max who was 19th in 16:43 and also finished with 175 points.

Caden Turnbough was 29th in 16:57 and James Momberg was 30th in 16:58.

Edina won the team title with 40 points followed by Wheaton North with 65 points while Class 4A top-ranked Pleasant Valley was third with 103 points.

Fourth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie was fourth with 116 and No. 5 Johnston was fifth with 119 in front of No. 9 West High and No. 10 City High.

West High senior Bailey Nock finished fourth in the girls race in a time of 18:44 to lead the Women of Troy to a fourth-place finish.

Colleen Bloeser was 15th in 19:40 for West High as the Women of Troy finished with 125 points.

Esti Brady led four City High runners in the top 32 with a 26th place finish in 20:12 as the Little Hawks finished sixth with 164 points.

Naperville North won the team title with 32 points followed by Edina with 45 points.

Class 4A top-ranked Johnston was the top finishing Iowa team with 114 points while No. 8 West High was fourth and No. 11 Dubuque Senior was fifth followed by No. 5 City High and No. 19 North Scott.
