City High fell to Cedar Rapids Washington 118 to 67 in a season-opening Mississippi Valley Conference dual at Mercer Park Aquatic Center in Iowa City on Tuesday.

Sophomore Carly Weigel won the 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle to pace City High while Trinity Sadecky won the 200 freestyle in 2:03.84.

Weigel won the 100 backstroke in 1:00.77 and the 50 freestyle in 25.58 and both Sadecky and Weigel were members of the Little Hawks’ winning 200 freestyle relay team.
