Solon secured some conference team hardware earlier this month sharing the WAMAC East Division title with Mount Vernon.

The Spartans collected their individual conference awards on Wednesday putting four players on the East Division first team when the conference released its postseason honors.

Seniors Bryn Hanrahan and Jess Heick, junior Madison Rogers and sophomore Taylor Ryan were all named to the East Division first team as the Spartans were the only team with more than two first-team selections.

Solon coach Jim White was named East Division coach of the year after directing the Spartans to a 30-13 record that included a 14-4 conference mark and a share of the East Division title with a 10-4 divisional record.

Clear Creek Amana had a pair of first-team picks as senior Abbi Kinnaird and Karsyn Stratton were both named to the West Division first team.

Hanrahan and Heick highlighted the first-team honorees for Solon.

Heick was the first team pick at catcher after batting .458 and leading Solon with nine home runs and 54 RBI.

Hanrahan hit .472 and led Solon in doubles (17), runs (49) and stolen bases (46) while earning first-team honors as an outfielder.

The senior centerfielder also drove in 36 runs from her leadoff spot.

Ryan was also a first-team pick in the outfield after a strong sophomore season in which she led Solon with a .529 batting average.

Ryan scored 46 runs, stole 38 bases and drove in 21 runs.

Rogers earned first-team honors as an infielder after hitting .364 with six home runs and 31 RBI.  

Senior McKenna Miller and freshman Kayla West were second-team picks at pitcher for Solon while senior second baseman Tara Lance and sophomore shortstop Taylor Moore were each honorable mention selections.

Kinnaird and Stratton headlined the all-divisional selections for Clear Creek Amana, each earning West Division first-team honors.

A freshman shortstop, Stratton was a first-team utility pick after hitting .410 with seven home runs and 17 RBI in 83 at bats.

Stratton scored 26 runs and had 10 doubles for the Clippers posting a team-high .783 slugging percentage.

Kinnard hit a team-high .433 with six home runs and 31 RBI on her way to being a first-team pick as an outfield.

The senior scored a team-high 34 runs and led the Clippers with a .477 on-base percentage.

Freshman first baseman Ainsley Schrock and senior second baseman Claire Navara were both second-team picks while freshman pitcher Raina Henze and eighth-grader pitcher Peyton Grafft each earned honorable mention honors.
