Mitch Gahan tossed a complete game three-hitter as Regina defeated Northeast 4-1 on Thursday in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in Goose Lake. 

Gahan struck out six and walked two in the complete game win as Class 2A No. 10 Regina improved to 16-6 on the season and 9-2 in RVC play. 

Jayden Kies went 2-for-3 and scored a run and Ryan Schott was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI to lead Regina. 

Gahan had a double and Nick Brandt had a hit for Regina which scored three runs in the fifth inning.

Clippers Split With Dyersville Beckman 

Clear Creek Amana split a WAMAC doubleheader with Class 2A fifth-ranked Dyersville Beckman on Thursday in Dyersville dropping the opener 4-3 and winning the nightcap 9-2. 

Kobey Schlotman picked up the win and had three hits in game two as Clear Creek Amana snapped a six-game losing skid. 

Schlotman scattered 10 hits in the complete game victory but allowed just two runs while striking out 12 as Clear Creek Amana improved to 7-16 on the season. 

The senior also went 3-for-5 at the plate with two runs and two RBI to lead a 15-hit Clear Creek Amana attack. 

David Jensen, Cody Ogden, Tyler Hallett, Camden Armstrong, Grant Riggan and Sam Stevens all had two hits in the game two win for Clear Creek Amana. 

Armstrong drove in two runs while Ogden scored three times. 

Beckman scored three runs in the sixth inning of the opener and held on for a 4-3 win as Clear Creek Amana got a pair of runs in the seventh but couldn't pull even. 

Armstrong took the loss aloowing four runs on eight hits in six innings and he also led the Clippers at the plate going 2-for-3 with a run scored. 

Stevens was 2-for-3 with a run and Jensen and Schlotman each drove in a run for the Clippers.
