Softball Roundup: Regina Goes 2-2 at Jack North Tournmament

Regina split a pair of games at the Jack North Tournament in Waukee on Saturday falling to Class 5A top-ranked Waukee 3-0 and defeating Waterloo East 9-2.
Class 2A seventh-ranked Regina improved to 14-9 with the 1-1 performance on Saturday after splitting a pair of games against ranked teams Davenport West and Des Moines Hoover on Friday on the opening day for the tournament.
Sarah Lehman took the loss against Waukee (21-1) despite tossing six strong innings.
Lehman allowed three runs, two earned, on nine hits while striking out seven and walking one.
The senior also led Regina at the plate going 2-for-3 while Jess Hunter and Carrigan O’Conner added singles for Regina.
Sophomore Katie Bracken picked up the win against Waterloo East allowing two unearned runs on three hits while fanning seven.
Lehman went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and drove in four runs to lead Regina while Emma Corkery went 4-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Isabella Nibaur went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Emily Bonnett was 2-for-4 with two RBI.
