City High has picked the perfect time to put together a winning streak.

Class 3A No. 14 City High won its sixth straight match on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over No. 15 Cedar Falls in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division contest in Cedar Falls.

Sydney DePrenger had a goal and had an assist on a Sophie Van Meter goal as City High improved to 10-4 on the season and 8-3 in MVC play.

Cedar Falls dropped to 8-7 and 7-4 in conference play.

Bormann Scores Four Goals in Win Over Anamosa

Hannah Bormann scored four goals as Class 2A No. 11 Clear Creek Amana ran its winning streak to five in a row with a 4-3 win over Anamosa on Tuesday.

Bormann upped her team-leading goal total to 28 on the season with her fifth consecutive multi-goal game as the Clippers improved to 13-2 on the season.

Anamosa dropped to 2-12 with the loss.
