City High needed a few extra minutes to do it but kept its winning streak alive on Friday afternoon.

Madeline Pugh scored the game-winning goal seven minutes into overtime as Class 3A No. 14 City High ran its winning streak to five with a 1-0 win over Dubuque Hempstead at City High.  

Pugh scored off a Sydney Schroder corner kick as City High improved to 9-4 on the season and 7-3 in Mississippi Valley Conference contests.

Dubuque Hempstead dropped to 6-7 and 4-5 in MVC play.
