Solon won the 4×200 relay and had six runner-up finishes on its way to a fourth-place team finish at the Monticello Invite on Tuesday.

Erin Kerkhoff (100), Bryce Hinkel (discus), Jess Heick (long jump) and Abby Smith (high jump) all added runner-up finishes and the Spartans finished second in both the 4×100 and shuttle hurdle relays while rolling up 89.5 points.

North Cedar won the team title with 125 points while West Branch was seventh with 40 points and Regina was eighth with 16.

Tatum Koenig won the long jump to lead West Branch.
