A balanced attack has been a trademark at City High under head coach Jose Fajardo.

Rarely have the Little Hawks been as balanced on offense as they were on Thursday.

Seven different players had goals in as Class 3A top-ranked City High remained unbeaten with a 7-0 win over Dubuque Senior in a Mississippi Valley Conference match in Dubuque.

Gavin Oliver, Jackson Meyer, Cameron Chavez, Ben Steve, Daniel Echa, Imata Mwenemkmaba and Temesgen Schumm all scored goals as City High improved to 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in MVC play.

Jonah Dancer had two assists while Fadhili Baloci, John Clark and Oliver each had one.

Sam Tomek had three saves and Wilfred Kadohou had one while combining for the shutout in goal.

Clippers Win Fourth Straight

Clear Creek Amana won its third game in four days on Thursday with a 5-0 victory over South Tama in a WAMAC West Division contest in Tiffin.

The win was the fourth straight for Clear Creek Amana which improved to 4-1 on the season.

Clear Creek Amana built a 3-0 first half lead.

Junior Christian Romero started the scoring with a rebound goal early in the first half.

Clear Creek Amana took a 2-0 lead when Nick Ritchie headed in a Tyreke Williams free kick.  

Trevor King scored off a Tony Zapata assist to put Clear Creek Amana up 3-0 right before the half.

Clear Creek Amana keeper Ian McDonald turned away a pair of South Tama scoring opportunities early in the second half to keep the match scoreless.

The Clippers put things away when Sam Evans headed in a Wyatt Sedlacek corner kick and Mitch Evans capped the scoring with a goal.
