Boys Track Roundup: West High Claims Four Individual Titles in Runner-up Finish at Hawkins Relays

West High had four individual champions on its way to a runner-up finish at the Hawkins Relays at Cedar Rapids Prairie on Tuesday.
Jonathan Gannon, Austin West, Nate Jelinek and Derek Nugent all won titles on Tuesday at West High rolled up 108 points to finish second behind team champion Cedar Rapids Prairie.
West won the 200, Jelinek won the 400 and Nugent won the 800 and Gannon claimed the discus title to lead West High.

John Muckler finished runner-up in the 3,200 and Cooper Kabela placed third in the 110 hurdles to lead West High at the Indian Relays in Wapello on Tuesday.
West Liberty won the team title at the 12-team meet with 102 points, three in front of runner-up Wapello while West Branch finished eighth with 36 points.
