Dani Carter fired a 49 to earn medalist honors in a WAMAC dual with Western Dubuque on Monday at Lake McBride Golf Course but it wasn’t enough for Solon to earn a win.
Western Dubuque had three golfers card scores of 56 or better to defeat Solon 227-218.
Carter led Solon with a 49 and Reegan Helle added a 55 for the Spartans.
“We had a good outing from Dani tonight, but we need to find 3 other consistent scores to go along with it,” Solon coach Curtis Hendrickson said. “We expected to play better on our home course, but the season is still very young and this just proves that there is still work to be done.”
