Solon went 1-1 on Saturday at the Hudson tournament defeating Postville 1-0 and falling to Class 2A fifth-ranked Hudson 3-1.

Class 1A No. 5 Solon edged Postville 5-4 in penalty kicks following a scoreless match to earn the win in its opener.

Luke Yetley, Isaac Vang, Nick Radcliffe, Jorel Justus and Ben Carr all connected on penalty kicks as Solon secured the win.

Vang had the lone goal for Solon in the 3-1 loss to Hudson.

Solon moved to 7-1 on the season.
