Conference meet: MVC Super Meet May 1 at St. Andews in Cedar Rapids
Outlook: City High must replace one of the state’s top golfers in departed senior Sarah Overton and will rely heavily on Shield and Sadewasser to anchor the lineup. Four sophomores and senior Morgan Galer will all compete for spots in the top six.
West High

Headliner: Senior Jordan Amelon is the lone varsity returner from last year’s team that reached the state tournament where she finished 16th with a 167.
Keep any eye on: Allison Bys and Ashley Vys are expected to slide into the varsity lineup after spending the past three seasons on the junior varsity.
Conference meet: MVC Super Meet May 1 at St. Andews in Cedar Rapids
Outlook: West High is coming off a state tournament appearance but must replace five of its six varsity golfers. Amelon is a good place to start and head coach Mary Goodfellow expects good things from sophomore Ellie Kouba.
Clear Creek Amana
Coach: Cam Stockman (4th season)
Last season’s finish: 13th at WAMAC Meet.

Headliner: Senior Allison Greathouse is poised to take over the top spot for the Clippers after ranking second on the team in scoring average last season.
Keep any eye on: Junior Payton Beckler is looking for a breakthrough season after ranking third on the team in average last season.
Conference meet: WAMAC Meet May 8 at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg
Outlook: The Clippers must replace their number one golfer from last season but bring back their next three as they attempt to improve on a 13th place conference finish. Three freshman have a chance to earn varsity spots along with senior Sheyanne Koethe.
Solon

Headliner: Senior Dani Carter earned all-conference honors last season when she led the Spartans with a nine-hole average of 50.1.
Keep any eye on: Sophomore Reegan Helle was an all-conference selection and advanced to the regional final last season.

Outlook: The Spartans have the experience in place to back up last year’s fourth-place conference finish in the second season under head coach Curtis Hendrickson. Solon returns five of its six varsity golfers from last season led by Carter and Helle.
West Branch

Outlook: West Branch returns three of its top six golfers from last season as it attempts to improve on a ninth-place conference finish. Lamont and Rocha are the top two returners while senior Claire Bridges is also back with varsity experience.

Keep any eye on: Brandon McCarty enters his first season of varsity golf with competitive golf experience under his belt and should be a boost to the Clipper lineup.
Conference meet: WAMAC Super Meet May 8 at Springbrook Country Club in DeWitt
Outlook: The Clippers return just two varsity letterwinners in the first season under head coach Chad McCarty. Siders and senior Jordan Smith will lead the way for Clear Creek Amana as the Clippers attempt to improve on last year’s 10th place conference finish.
Solon

Outlook: The Spartans are loaded for a big step up this season with their top five golfers from last season returning. Solon has five golfers with a better than 46 average returning led by McIlravy and Martin.
Regina

Headliner: Already a three-year letterwinner Noah Felderman returns to lead Regina after spending last season as the Regals number one.
Keep any eye on: Senior Trae Rogers ranked fourth on the team in scoring average last season but showed he was capable of more, tying for the best 18-hole round with an 86.
Conference meet: RVC Meet May 9 at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon
Outlook: Regina has the returning talent to make a jump from its eighth-place conference finish last season. Among the five returning varsity letterwinners are three of the top scoring averages on last year’s team.
West Branch

Returning letterwinners: Brady Lukavsky, Soph.; Ted Bridges, Soph.; Trevor Thein, Jr.; Cade Aspelmeier, Jr.
Headliner: Junior Trevor Thein returns after leading West Branch in scoring average last season while posting a low round of 85.
Keep any eye on: Sophomore Ted Bridges is back after ranking fourth on the team in scoring average last season.
Conference meet: RVC Meet May 9 at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon
Outlook: The Bears must replace two of their top three golfers but have talent coming up to do just that. Sophomores Ted Bridges and Brady Lukavsky both ranked in the top five in scoring on the team last season and join Thein and Cade Aspelmeier as players returning with varsity experience.
