Three meets into the season the West High boys track team is still perfect.

West High ran its winning streak to three on Tuesday, claiming the team title at the Deac Ryan Relays at North Scott High School in Eldridge.

Austin West had two of West High’s four first-place finishes as the Trojans racked up 157 points to finish 12 points in front of Pleasant Valley.

West won the high jump and 400 hurdles, Derek Nugent added a title in the 800 and West High won the 4×800 relay.

The Trojans had seven runner-up finishes and had two place winners in seven individual events.

Durant Wildcat Relays

John Muckler won the 3,200 to pace West Branch to a fourth-place finish at the Wildcat Relays on Tuesday in Durant.

Northeast won the team title with 165 points followed by North Cedar with 147 points.

West Branch got runner-up finishes from Jordan Baldwin in the 3,200, Cole Tisinger in the discus and Cooper Kabela in the 110 hurdles.

Raider Invite

Luke Ira won the 110 hurdles to lead Solon at the Raider Invite in Williamsburg on Tuesday.

Host Williamsburg held off Vinton-Shellsburg to win the team title with 142 points while Solon was fifth with 72.

Solon got a third-place finish from Jake Coons in the discus and its distance medley and 4×800 relay teams each placed third.

Clark Weaver Lion Relays

Matthew Dodge won the 3,200 and the foursome of Lucas Firmstone, Zach Jones, JP Rethwisch and Jack Roggeveen won the 4×400 relay to lead City High at the Clark Weaver Lion Relays on Tuesday at Linn-Mar High School in Marion.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy rolled up 130 points to edge host Linn-Mar by one point for the team title.

Cedar Rapids Washington was third with 89 followed by City High with 68.

Zach Jones added a runner-up finish the 110 hurdles and the City High shuttle hurdle and 4×800 relay teams also placed second.
