Clear Creek Amana’s Stratton, Solon’s Durr Highlight Area All-WAMAC Selections

It was a big-time bounce back season for Clear Creek Amana.
The Clippers posted their second winning season in the last three years, matching their win total from two seasons ago with 13 and claimed their first postseason win in nearly two decades.
Now the they are reaping the rewards.
Clear Creek Amana had four players named to the WAMAC West All-Division team as the league announced its postseason honors this week.
Karsyn Stratton, Lauren Helle, Meagan Harvey and Claire Navara were all honored by the conference after helping Clear Creek Amana to a 13-10 record that included a 53-40 win over Benton in the Class 4A, Region 4 quarterfinals.
Stratton was named to the WAMAC West Division first team after leading the Clippers in scoring, rebounding and steals.
The freshman shot 57 percent from the field and averaged 16 points per game while leading Clear Creek Amana with 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest.
Helle was a second-team West Division selection after averaging 6.0 points and 3.2 blocks per game.
The 6-foot-1 senior led the West Division and ranked second in the conference with 75 blocks.
Harvey a freshman forward and Navara, a senior guard, both earned honorable mention status.
Solon senior guard Josie Durr was a unanimous first-team selection in the East Division.
Durr led Solon in scoring, assists, blocks and steals while helping the Spartans to an 8-14 season.
Durr averaged 17.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for the Spartans and her 164 steals were the most in the state through the regular season.
The senior guard also posted team highs in assists (36) and blocks (11).
Junior Brianna Smith and sophomore Gabby Marty were both East Division honorable mention picks.
