Top-ranked West High closed conference play with a 58-46 win over Cedar Rapids Xavier in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division matchup in Iowa City.

Connor McCaffery had a game-high 19 points and Patrick McCaffery added 13 as West High improved to 18-2 on the season and finished 15-1 in MVC play.

Devontae Lane added 11 points for West High.

Cedar Rapids Xavier dropped to 10-11 with the loss and closed with an 8-8 MVC record.

Late Shot Sinks Regina in District Semifinals

Central Lee hit a shot at the buzzer to defeat Regina 60-58 in a Class 2A, District 9 semifinal on Thursday in Wellman.

Regina ends the season 13-9 while Central Lee improved to 11-12 and advanced to the District 9 title game where it will face Highland on Tuesday at West Liberty
