Girls Basketball Roundup: City High, West High Close Regular Season With Wins

West High locked up the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division title long before Friday night’s regular season finale.
That didn’t stop the Women of Troy from ending conference play in style.
Class 5A fourth-ranked West High won its fourth straight game, and third straight MVC contest 62-42over Waterloo West in Waterloo.
Logan Cook led five players in double figures with 18 points as West High closed the regular season 18-3 and 12-1 in MVC play.
Maddie Huinker had 13 points and Emma Koch, Lauren Zacharias and Rachael Saunders all had 10 in the win.
NaTracia Ceaser had 16 points and Tahya Campbell had 15 for Waterloo West (12-8, 6-7 MVC).

City High Secures Share of Division Title
Class 5A fifth-ranked City High closed the regular season with 77-33 win over Dubuque Wahlert in a Mississippi Valley Conference game in Dubuque on Friday.
Rose Nkumu had a team-high 18 points as City High improved to 20-1 on the season and 12-1 in MVC play.
With the win City High finished in a tie with Cedar Falls for the MVC Valley Division title.
Dubuque Wahlert dropped to 4-16 and 2-11 in MVC play with the loss.
