Girls Basketball Roundup: West High Gets Back on Track With Non-Conference Win

West High bounced back in a big way on Tuesday.
Class 5A third-ranked West High rebounded from a loss to Cedar Falls with a 63-33 win over Mount Pleasant in a non-conference contest at West High.
Maddie Huinker led three West High players in double figures with 15 points as the Women of Troy improved to 15-3 on the season.
Emma Koch and Rachael Saunders each scored 11 points for West High which shot 45 percent from the field.
Logan Cook had nine points and six steals and Lauren Zacharias had eight points, seven steals and five assists for West High.

Solon Snaps Skid
Solon got snapped a two-game losing skid with a 48-40 win over West Delaware on Tuesday in a WAMAC East Division contest in Manchester.
Josie Durr had 23 points, six steals and five rebounds as Solon improved to 7-12 on the season and 5-8 in WAMAC East games.
Brynn Hanrahan added seven points for Solon.
West Delaware dropped to 7-11 with the loss.
Strong Start Helps Clear Creek Amana Past Williamsburg
Clear Creek Amana raced to a 21-6 first-quarter lead on its way to a 55-38 WAMAC win over Williamsburg in a West Division matchup in Williamsburg.
Karsyn Stratton had 17 points and Be DeShaw had 12 as Clear Creek Amana improved to 10-7 on the season and 7-5 in WAMAC West contests.
The Clippers built a 33-13 halftime lead and never let the Raiders back into the game.
Taylor Busch had 12 points for Williamsburg which dropped to 6-14 and 4-8 in WAMAC play with its fourth straight loss.
