West High’s string of three straight games against ranked teams ends with a road trip to No. 2 Dubuque Senior on Friday.

The Trojans have won seven straight games by an average of 26 points and are holding opponents to 49 points per game.
Dubuque Senior has won six straight since a 56-55 loss to Cedar Rapids Prairie on Jan. 10.
The Rams have a win over eighth-ranked Cedar Falls and a pair of out of state teams during their current six-game win streak.
Dubuque Senior is led by 6-foot-5 sophomore Noah Carter who averages team-highs of 17.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
What to Watch
Long-time rivals Regina and West Branch hook up on Tuesday in West Branch with the lead in the River Valley South Division on the line
Regina won the first meeting between the two teams 76-62 on December 16th in Iowa City and holds a slim lead over West Branch in the conference standings.
The Regals are 10-4 in RVC play and West Branch enters Tuesday’s rematch 10-5 in conference.
West Branch closes its conference schedule with home games against West Liberty and Durant while Regina travels to Camanche and Durant and hosts Tipton.
Keep an Eye On
Solon senior Jake Coons will sign his letter of intent to play football at Iowa on national signing day on Wednesday.
While his future is in football, Coons is playing the best basketball of his career of late.
The 6-foot-4 senior had a 24-point, 11-rebound double-double in a win over Maquoketa on Monday and is averaging 14.7 points and seven rebounds over his last three games.
Solon (10-5) will need another strong outing from Coons on Tuesday in its rematch with 3A third-ranked West Delaware (13-0).
The West Delaware duo of 6-foot-7 sophomore Derek Krogmann and 6-foot-6 senior John Nagel average a combined 29.5 points and 15.8 rebounds per game.
Krogmann and Nagel combined for 32 points and 16 rebounds in a 73-59 West Delaware win over Solon on January 6 in Manchester.
West Delaware led 22-8 after one quarter in the first meeting before the two teams played to a draw the rest of the way.
