Aldrich-Ingram, Norris Headline Area All-State Picks

West Branch senior Abby Knoop was among the most productive attackers in the state this fall while Sheyanne Koethe was among the state’s top defensive players.
Alexa Aldrich-Ingram and Emma Norris both did a little bit of everything all the way around.
On Wednesday, all four players were honored for what they did best.
Aldrich-Ingram, Norris, Knoop and Koethe were all named to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association all-state teams that were released on Wednesday.
Aldrich-Ingram was a second team selection in Class 5A after leading City High in kills during her senior season.
The Drake recruit had a team-high 288 kills and added 286 assists and 38 blocks this season while leading the Little Hawks to a 20-14 record and a regional final berth.
Norris was an honorable mention pick in Class 5A following a senior season in which she directed West High back to the state tournament for the third straight season.
The 5-foot-9 Norris led West High with 262 kills and added 232 digs while helping the Women of Troy to a 23-15 record.
A Western Illinois recruit, Norris had 17 kills in a four-set loss to eventual state champion Ankeny Centennial in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
Knoop was named to the Class 2A third team after hammering a school-record 463 kills this season to help West Branch to a 21-16 record and a spot in the regional finals.
The 5-foot-11, senior ranked second in Class 2A and 16th in the state with 463 kills and added 400 digs and 43 blocks for West Branch.
Koethe was an honorable mention selection in Class 4A following a senior season in which she led Class 4A with 625 digs and 5.84 digs per set.
The 625 digs for Koethe ranked sixth in the state as she helped the Clippers to a 21-20 record.
