Five different West High swimmers earned first team honors from the Mississippi Valley Conference on Monday when the conference announced its all-division selections.

Senior Elaina Martz, juniors Alleyna Thomas and Melanie Housenga, sophomore Rachel Ding and freshman Lily Ernst all earned first team all-division honors in an individual event in the Mississippi Division.

Martz, Thomas, Housenga and Ernst teamed up to earn first team recognition in both the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.

City High had three athletes earn first team honors in the Valley Division.

Freshman Carly Weigel and junior Laura Lorenger earned first team honors in swimming while senior Andrea Adam was a first team honoree in diving.

Linn-Mar’s Kelsey Drake was the Mississippi Division swimmer of the year while Jessica Williams of Cedar Rapids Kennedy was Valley Division swimmer of the year.
