Greiner, Ali help West High Qualify for State Meet
West High sophomore Kolby Greiner West High qualified for the state meet for the sixth consecutive season with a third place finish at the 4A state qualifying meet at Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf on Thursday.
Second-ranked Pleasant Valley put four runners in the top 10 and won the team title with 33 points while fifth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie finished second with 55 points.
No. 11 West High got a runner-up finish from sophomore Kolby Greiner and a third place finish from senior Ali Ali, both in 16:11 to finish third with 64 points.
Andrew Murley gave West High a trio of top 10 finishers, placing ninth in 16:38.
