Clear Creek Amana’s Koethe Headlines All-WAMAC Selections

Sheyanne Koethe has spent the last two seasons working to establish herself as one of the top liberos in the state.
On Tuesday the Clear Creek Amana senior was recognized for that work.
Koethe was named to the WAMAC West Division first team for the second straight season on Tuesday when the conference announced its regular season awards.
Koethe was one of four Clippers to be honored by the conference joining seniors Lauren Helle and McKenna McCreedy and sophomore Shauntina Williams.
For the second consecutive season Koethe led the West Division in digs finishing the regular season with 605, the second most in the state.
Koethe averaged a career-best 5.82 digs per set this season up from her 5.15 average last season.
Solon junior Jess Heick
She also posted a team-high 47 ace serves to help Clear Creek Amana to a 21-19 record.
Helle was a second-team West Division selection after posting 236 kills and a team-high 61 blocks this season.
McCreedy and Williams were both honorable mention picks in the West Division.
Williams led Clear Creek Amana with 277 kills while McCreedy had 175 digs and 29 ace serves.
Solon had three players earn all-division recognition led by senior Jess Heick who was a second-team pick in the East Division.
Heick led Solon with 185 kills and 47 ace serves this season.
Senior Grace McCarty and junior Grace Keith were both East Division honorable mention selections.
Keith finished second on the team with 164 kills and 23 blocks while McCarty led Solon with 191 digs and ranked fourth in the East Division with 4.15 digs per set.
