West High placed sixth and City High was 13th at the Class 4A district golf meet at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls.

Cedar Rapids Washington shot a 307 to win the team title by seven strokes over host Cedar Falls as both teams secured spots in this weekend’s Class 4A state tournament.

Dubuque Senior shot a 318 to finish third and earn the final state tournament berth.

Mason ShawverCedar Rapids Kennedy was fourth with a 322 followed by Cedar Rapids Prairie with a 324 and West High with a 326.

City High shot a 365 to finish 13th.

Ryan Cooper led West High with a 79 while Kyle Jenkins shot an 81 and Kyle Spence fired an 83 for the Trojans.

Mason Shawver paced City High with an 84.

Cedar Rapids Washington’s Frank Lindwall fired a one-under-par 71 to win the individual title.
